LOCATING OURSELVES THROUGH DIGITAL STORYTELLING
Mobile City Dialogues is an inspiring new media project from Amsterdam that uses location aware technologies to research and contrast ongoing urban dialogues. Comparing location based stories from site-specific Toronto locations with those collected in New York and Amsterdam, the project performs as a hyper-accelerated means of exploring our similarities, differences and ultimately ourselves.
Join the Dutch development team behind Mobile City Dialogues - Klasien van de Zandschulp (Lava Lab Foundation, HearUsHere, Zo Niet Dan Toch festival) and Leonieke Verhoog (Dutch Public Broadcaster, Director VPRO Media Lab, FigureRunning) - in conversation at FORMS with Toronto’s Shawn Micallef (co-founder of Spacing Magazine, The Murmur Project) as they discuss digital story-telling, mobile technology and civic engagement.
