BREAKING THE GRID: BIOMIMICRY AND NATURE'S IMPACT ON THE DESIGN OF FUTURE CITIES
An introduction to how the concepts of Biomimicry can be adopted as future design-forms to create a new paradigm in city-building. This talk will investigate nature’s potential impact on the built environment in the context of networked urbanism and how applying biomimicry to planning could influence new modes of sustainable thinking, modelling and development. Re-imagining future city design through the lens of biomimicry reveals how the confluence of creativity, natural ecosystem thinking and design is guiding new models and pushing innovation by asking the question “What would nature do?”
