Calling all fiction writers!
OPEN CALL: FICTION WRITERS INTERESTED IN URBAN EXPLORATION
FORMS is looking for fiction writers and photographers interested in urban exploration and location-based storytelling to participate in a unique writing challenge and exhibition.
As part of The Invisible City project by Dutch artist Sjoerd Ter Borg, fiction writers and photographers will gain access to a number of iconic abandoned or in transition spaces in the GTA where, using fiction as a primary tool, each team will be challenged to transform how we see the future of cities by providing new narratives for buildings and areas either without prospect or about to embark on a new identity.
These pieces of fiction and photography will become part of a larger exhibition at FORMS (Toronto) in September 2016 and N-Festival (Amsterdam) in 2017.
Submit 2 copies of your written work, your favourite abandoned or in transition space and short paragraph on your interest in the changing urban landscape of Toronto. Title the email Invisible City challenge and send to firstname.lastname@example.org
Deadline Sept. 5, 2016
The Invisible City project is part of the Travelling Dialogues Series developed in partnership between FORMS (Toronto) N-Festival (Amsterdam), The Netherlands Creative Industries Fund and Northside Festival (Brooklyn).
